| With the mission of eradicating Vitamin A deficinecy among children by 2020,the Vitamin Angles Alliance has tied up with our organization to supply multivitamin supplements to rural children in madurai district.This mission has started in the year 2004 and 1.1 million children has been covered.Loss of eye sight due to Vitamin A deficiency is common in India. Considering this issue and to control blindness among the children of the members of S.M.I.L.E.‚ Vitamin Angel Alliance – USA supplies vitamin A supplements along with de – worming tablets for about 50,000 children. S.M.I.L.E. not only empowers women by economic programs‚ but also develops the future generation of India with good health. Mr.Howard B.Schiffer‚ President and CEO of Vitamin Angel Alliance‚ USA visited S.M.I.L.E.and launched the supply of the Vitamin A supplements. |
